10 rules to effective communication

Follow these 10 effective rules while communicating

  1. Simplicity: Use small words that are easier to understand
  2. Brevity: Use short sentences to deliver your message better
  3. Credibility: People have to believe it to buy into it.
  4. Consistency: Repeat what you are saying to make a point so that you are not left unheard.
  5. Novelty: Get your message across in a fresh, new way if it is not understandable by the other person.
  6. Sound and Texture: These elements should be as memorable as the words, try sounding warm and clear.
  7. Speak Aspirationally: Messages need to say what people want to hear.
  8. Visualize: Paint a vivid picture to make them visualize what your explaining.
  9. Ask a Question: A statement, when in the form of a question, can have a greater impact.
  10. Provide Context and Explain Relevance: Give people an understanding of the way of a message.
